General, simplified synthetic routes for the preparation of thioureate 2, carbamate I (3) and carbamate II (4). Synthesis of the binding motif of thioureate 2 was conducted by a solid phase procedure, whereas binding motifs 15 (carbamate I) and 17 (carbamate II) were obtained by solution phase synthesis prior to coupling to compound 18.
